Standard Extrusion Profile Library
Clean 2D cross-section drawings — every profile is available in any compound from the specification table below. Dimensional conformity to ISO 3302-1, class E1 to E3 as recorded on the drawing; ±0.2 mm held on critical dimensions, with the tolerance on any one dimension set by the section rather than applied across the profile.

MATERIAL SPECIFICATIONS
Compound Specification Range
Every compound blended in-house. Five polymers covering −60 °C to +250 °C and the full chemical exposure spectrum.
| Compound | Shore A | Service range | Specified for |
|---|---|---|---|
| EPDM | 50–80 | −40 → +140 °C | Weather, ozone and water — the default for external sealing |
| NBR | 55–80 | −30 → +120 °C | Oils and fuels |
| FKM (Viton®) | 60–85 | −20 → +250 °C continuous to +200 °C | Aggressive chemicals and high heat |
| VMQ (Silicone) | 40–75 | −60 → +220 °C | Temperature extremes and purity requirements |
| CR (Neoprene) | 50–75 | −40 → +120 °C | Balanced general-purpose duty with flame retardancy |
Hardness and temperature ranges are stated as standard blends; custom formulations available on request. Extrusion hardness bands are narrower than our moulding range on purpose — a profile has to hold its section coming off the die and through cure, which rules out the softest and hardest ends. Natural rubber, SBR and AEM are available on extruded profiles to order and are not part of the standard library. All compounds tested to the ISO and ASTM methods listed in the quality section below.
MANUFACTURING PROCESS
From Compound to Finished Profile
Every extrusion follows four tightly controlled stages. Each is monitored in-process and logged against the batch record, so a length delivered eighteen months from now can be traced back to the mix that made it.
01
Compounding
Base polymer blended with fillers, plasticisers and vulcanisation agents to an in-house formulation. Mixed on site, not bought in.
02
Extrusion
Continuous profile formed through a precision-machined tooling die at controlled barrel temperature.
03
Curing
Vulcanisation by salt bath, microwave tunnel or LCM line — the method selected for the compound and the section.
04
Cooling & cut-off
Water quench, in-line dimensional check, then precision cut to length or spooled to order.
SPECIFICATION GUIDE
Specify in Four Lines
These four parameters fully define any rubber extrusion. Provide them and our engineers will return a compound recommendation, hardness grade and dimensional tolerance within 48 hours, in a single technical pass — no back-and-forth.
- Temperature −60°C → +250°C
- State the minimum and maximum operating temperatures. Our compound window spans −60 °C to +250 °C.
- Fluid contact Media matched
- Water, oil, fuel, acid, steam or ozone exposure — each environment demands a different polymer backbone.
- Duty cycle Static / dynamic
- Static compression seal, dynamic wiper, or structural load-bearing gasket — duty changes the hardness spec.
- Compression set ASTM D395-B
- State your pass criterion at temperature and dwell time. We test to ASTM D395 Method B as standard.

QUALITY ASSURANCE
Quality That Travels With Every Metre
Every production batch is tested for hardness, tensile strength and compression set before despatch, and the results travel with the delivery. Compound qualification tests — ozone, heat ageing and low-temperature flexibility — are run once per formulation through our NABL-accredited partner laboratory and issued on request. Reports are supplied as standard with export orders.
Every metre we ship carries a batch test certificate. You never have to ask — it arrives with the delivery note, before you even open the box.
- ISO 9001:2015 · Certificate 09111526A

Pricing, Runs and Documentation
Extrusion is priced by the metre rather than by the piece, so a run is quoted against total length, section complexity and compound. Minimum run is quoted per profile against total length, because a thin cord and a large hollow section are not the same job.
