Disclaimer

The technical information on this site is published to help engineers specify rubber components. This page sets out what that information is, what it is not, and what you should verify against your own application before you rely on it.

1.Scope of This Disclaimer

This disclaimer applies to all technical and product information published on margorubber.in by Margo Rubber Products, including compound descriptions, temperature ranges, hardness bands, dimensional tolerance classes, test standard references, capacity and process figures, export transit times, and application guidance on our product, industry and resource pages.

It forms part of our Terms of Service and should be read with them. Where this disclaimer and the Terms cover the same ground, the Terms govern the contractual position and this page explains the technical position.

It does not limit the specification we contractually agree with you. That is set out in the approved drawing and order acknowledgement for your part.

2.Technical Information & Specifications

Technical information on this site is published to assist engineers in selecting a compound and specifying a component. It is indicative, based on typical values for the compound families we mix, and is not a specification for any particular part.

The governing specification for any order is the approved drawing and the compound designation recorded on the quotation and order acknowledgement. Where anything published here conflicts with those documents, the order documents govern.

We publish this material because most suppliers in our category do not, and because a specifying engineer works better with real numbers than with adjectives. That is also why it is qualified rather than presented as a guarantee.

We may update published information as compounds, processes and standards change. We do not undertake to notify you of changes, and information published previously may have been superseded.

3.Material Data & Test Values

Published temperature ranges, hardness bands, tensile values, compression set figures and physical properties are typical values for the compound family, determined in our laboratory under the standards named on the relevant page. Those standards include ASTM D2240 and ISO 48-4 for hardness, ASTM D412 and ISO 37 for tensile and elongation, ASTM D395 and ISO 815-1 for compression set, ASTM D573 and ISO 188 for heat ageing, ASTM D297 and ISO 2781 for specific gravity, and ISO 6502-2 for cure characteristics.

Ozone resistance, fluid immersion ageing, low-temperature brittleness, abrasion, tear, rebound and flammability testing are carried out through a NABL-accredited partner laboratory rather than in-house, and are available on request.

Test values are not performance guarantees. Actual performance in service depends on the specific formulation, part geometry, cure state, installed compression, service medium, temperature, pressure and duty cycle. A compound that performs to a published range in a laboratory test may behave differently in your assembly.

Certified values for the compound supplied on a specific order are issued as inspection release data with that despatch lot. Where you need values certified before ordering, ask us and we will arrange testing.

Dimensional conformity is held to ISO 3302-1, classes M1 to M4 for moulded components and E1 to E3 for extruded sections, as recorded on the drawing. Tolerance follows the section — a simple cord holds tighter than a large hollow profile, and a single tolerance figure cannot be quoted across a product range.

4.Suitability for Your Application

Selection of a compound, hardness and geometry for a given application remains the responsibility of the specifying engineer.

We will recommend a compound against the operating conditions you provide — the fluid or media in contact, the operating temperature range, the load or pressure, and the duty cycle. That recommendation is only as good as the information it is based on. We cannot assess conditions we have not been told about, including intermittent exposures, cleaning chemicals, ozone, UV, and thermal cycling outside the stated range.

Where a component is safety-critical, or where failure would cause injury, environmental release or significant consequential loss, the buyer should qualify the part in the actual application before series release. We will supply samples for that purpose and welcome being told the result.

We do not hold approvals for regulated end-use applications. Specifically, we do not hold ISO 13485 or FDA registration for medical devices, and we do not hold NORSOK M-710 or API elastomer qualification for oil and gas service. Where a component forms part of a product requiring CE or UKCA marking, the conformity assessment obligation rests with the manufacturer or importer of that product, not with us.

5.Third-Party Content & Links

Standards referenced on this site — including ASTM, ISO, DIN, JIS, IS, AS568, UL and FMVSS designations — are the property of their issuing bodies and are cited for identification only. We do not reproduce their text, and you should consult the current published standard where the detail matters.

Compound trade names, including Viton and Vamac, are trade marks of their respective owners and are used to identify polymer families. Trade marks of customers, where shown, belong to their owners and appear solely to identify commercial supply relationships.

Duty rates, tariff schemes, preferential origin arrangements and certificate requirements referenced on our export pages change, sometimes at short notice. Verify current treatment for your commodity code with your own customs broker before relying on it. Transit times are typical for the lane and depend on carrier schedules, port conditions and customs clearance.

Where this site links to an external resource, we do not control that site and are not responsible for its content or availability.

6.Site Availability & Accuracy

We maintain this site with reasonable care but do not warrant that it is uninterrupted, error-free or free from omission. Content may be out of date, and we do not undertake to update it on any schedule.

Capacity, process and delivery figures published here describe our normal operation and are not commitments for any particular order. Lead times quoted on this site are typical and are confirmed only on the order acknowledgement.

Where anything published on this website conflicts with a quotation, drawing, order acknowledgement or invoice, the order document governs.

We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of this site without notice.

7.Limitation of Liability

Nothing in this disclaimer limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded.

Subject to that, and to the extent permitted by law:

  • Information on this website is provided for general guidance. We accept no liability for any decision taken, or any loss suffered, in reliance on published technical information alone rather than on a quotation, approved drawing or order acknowledgement issued by us.
  • We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, revenue, production, contracts, goodwill or anticipated savings, arising from use of this website or reliance on its content.
  • Where we supply goods, our liability is governed by section 9 of our Terms of Service, and this disclaimer does not extend it.

8.Contact Information

If anything on this site is unclear, or you want a value confirmed for your application before you specify it, ask us. We would rather answer a question than have a part fail.
