1.Introduction

Margo Rubber Products (“Margo”, “we”, “us”) is the data fiduciary responsible for personal data collected through margorubber.in. Our registered office is at SRNO. 4494/10, behind Furniture Stop, opposite Samarth Dies, Vilholi, Nashik, Maharashtra 422010, India. Our GSTIN is 27AAKFM8595Q1Z1.

We process personal data in accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 of India. Where you contact us from the European Union or the United Kingdom, we also apply the principles of the EU General Data Protection Regulation and the UK GDPR to the data you provide.

This policy applies to visitors, prospective and existing customers, suppliers, distributors and business partners who use this website or contact us electronically. It does not apply to personal data processed under a separate written agreement, such as a supply contract or non-disclosure agreement, where that agreement governs.

2.Information We Collect

Information you give us

When you submit a quotation request, a documentation request or any enquiry form, we collect:

  • Name and company name
  • Email address and, if you provide one, telephone number
  • Country and, where given, business address
  • Product requirement, industry or end-use, and estimated quantity
  • Any technical drawing, specification, datasheet or CAD file you upload
  • Anything else you choose to include in a message

Uploaded drawings and CAD files are treated as confidential commercial information. They are used only to prepare a quotation or to manufacture the part you have asked us to quote. They are not shared outside Margo except with a sub-supplier engaged on your order, and only where necessary to fulfil it.

Information collected automatically

When you browse the site we collect IP address, browser type and version, device and operating system, pages visited, time spent, referral source and clickstream data. This is used to keep the site working and to understand which pages are useful.

Information we do not collect

We do not collect payment card details through this website. We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal data, and you should not send it to us. We do not buy personal data from third parties and we do not sell it.

3.How We Use Your Information

We use the information you give us to respond to your enquiry, prepare and issue quotations, recommend a compound and geometry for your application, manufacture and despatch orders, issue export documentation, provide technical support, and keep records required for tax, customs and quality purposes.

We use automatically collected information to operate and improve the website, diagnose faults and understand aggregate usage. We do not use it to build a profile of you as an individual.

Legal basis. Under DPDP we process your data on the basis of the consent you give when you submit a form, and for the legitimate uses of responding to and performing the transaction you have initiated. Where GDPR applies, our bases are consent, performance of a contract or steps taken at your request before entering one, and our legitimate interest in operating a business-to-business website.

Marketing. We will contact you about your enquiry. We will not add you to a marketing list without asking, and any such communication will carry an unsubscribe route.

4.Cookies & Tracking

We use a small number of cookies. Strictly necessary cookies keep the site functioning and are set without consent because the site cannot work without them. Analytics cookies help us understand which pages are used and are set only where you consent through the cookie notice.

You can refuse non-essential cookies through the notice, and you can clear or block cookies in your browser at any time. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the site working.

We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking, and we do not run remarketing pixels on this website.

5.Third-Party Services

We share personal data only where it is needed to do what you have asked. The categories of recipient are:

  • Website and email hosting providers, which store form submissions and correspondence
  • Analytics providers, where you have consented to analytics cookies
  • Logistics providers, customs house agents and freight forwarders, where an order is being shipped and your details are required on shipping documents
  • Inspection bodies such as SGS or an approved PVoC body, where pre-shipment inspection is required for your market
  • Professional advisers, auditors and banks, where required for a transaction or by law

We do not sell, rent or trade personal data. Where a provider processes data on our behalf, they are bound to use it only on our instructions.

6.Data Security

We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including access control on the systems that hold enquiry data and uploaded files, encrypted transmission of form submissions, and restriction of access to staff who need it for their role.

No transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a personal data breach occurs that is likely to affect you, we will notify you and the Data Protection Board of India as required under the DPDP Act.

7.Your Rights

Subject to the conditions in the applicable law, you may ask us to:

  • Confirm what personal data of yours we hold and provide a copy
  • Correct data that is inaccurate, incomplete or out of date
  • Erase data we no longer need to hold
  • Withdraw consent you previously gave, without affecting processing already carried out
  • Nominate another person to exercise these rights on your behalf in the event of death or incapacity, as provided under the DPDP Act

Where GDPR applies you additionally have rights to restrict processing, to object to processing, and to data portability.

To exercise any of these, contact us using the details in section 12. We will acknowledge within 5 working days and respond substantively within 30 days.

If you are not satisfied with our response you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India, or to your local supervisory authority where GDPR or UK GDPR applies.

8.Data Retention

We keep personal data only as long as we need it, and then delete it. Our standard periods are:

  • Enquiries that do not become orders — 24 months from last contact, then deleted
  • Customer records and correspondence — 8 years from the end of the financial year of the last transaction, to meet Indian tax and customs record-keeping requirements
  • Uploaded drawings and CAD files, where no order follows — 12 months from the date of the quotation, then deleted
  • Uploaded drawings and CAD files, where an order follows — retained for the life of the tooling and the supply relationship, because they are the governing specification for repeat orders
  • Analytics data — 14 months in aggregate form

You may ask us to delete an uploaded file sooner. Where an order is in progress or a tool has been cut, we may need to retain the drawing to fulfil our obligations to you.

9.International Transfers

We are based in India and your data is processed here. Where you are outside India, submitting an enquiry means your data is transferred to India.

Where we ship an order to you, your name, company, address and contact details appear on shipping and customs documentation and are transferred to carriers, customs authorities and inspection bodies in the destination country. This is necessary to perform the contract and to comply with import requirements.

Some of our hosting and analytics providers store data outside India. Where GDPR or UK GDPR applies to a transfer, we rely on the appropriate safeguards permitted under those regulations.

10.Children’s Privacy

This is a business-to-business industrial supplier website. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.

Under the DPDP Act, processing a child’s personal data requires verifiable parental consent, and we do not process such data. If you believe a child has submitted personal data to us, contact us using the details in section 12 and we will delete it.

11.Policy Updates

We may update this policy to reflect changes in how we operate or in the law. The Last updated date at the top of this page is authoritative, and superseded versions remain available on request.

Where a change materially affects how we use data you have already given us, we will tell you directly before it takes effect. Continued use of the website after a change takes effect means you accept the updated policy.
